TESTIMONIALS

"The Blackheath Quartet were very professional, accommodating and of course... talented.

Everyone at our Wedding had a wonderful time listening to their music, they bought the right balance of sophistication and atmosphere to our Wedding day.

The Blackheath Quartet played a perfect assortment of music and impressed people who had musical requests of their own, adding enthusiastic background knowledge about pieces they played. Their warm interaction with our guests who were clearly classical music lovers, went down a storm. We would love to hire them again, we just need an excuse for another party! Thank you all for a great day"

"I've booked the Blackheath Quartet for several concerts in recent years. In addition to their highly intuitive and talented playing and excellent professionalism, they are also a very friendly and accommodating ensemble. For a recent American themed concert the quartet helped to arrange parts for strings from piano scores of Barber and Whitacre songs. They also chose 3 exquisite pieces for the concert which they had carefully thought out to suit and enhance the programme perfectly. The Phillip Glass quartet (No. 2) was delightful and different, and we all loved the beautifully paced arrangement they had of the Ashokan Farewell. I can't recommend this quartet highly enough!"

"The Blackheath Quartet played with a Soprano (they sourced) for our wedding in Queens House, Greenwich. We gave them an ambitious spec - to create bespoke arrangements for 3 of the 4 pieces of music:

Our own written verse to Green Sleeves
The Flower Duet (Sous le dôme épais) but with just "one" soloist
Prokofiev (the BBC's apprentice music) - adapted from a orchestra arrangement to a quartet.

That was it - no more involvement from me - which was good as I naturally was busy on other things...

The quality and professionalism of the quartet together with their emotional inducing playing were a perfect backdrop to such an occasion - it was simply perfect. Their prices were extremely reasonable with the arrangements a small added extra. I would not hesitate to recommend them - they were simply brilliant."
